Winter car washing...
Do you wash your car more or less in the winter? I'm sort of **** and wash my car once a week in the summer, and always by hand. But in the winter, it gets dirty easier, and I don't wanna take it to a shop to wash it. Man, not being able to garage your car sucks. Of course dad's toys get the garage.

I actually wash my car less in the winter. I havent touched the car in 2 months now. I prolly will have it cleaned soon.....after all the snow goes away that is.
Man oh man, i wash mine more during the winter. since the road salt is like magnet on cars , it rips away the paint and you get f@#%ed later when spring comes around. If you cant wash it, atleast rinse it off with hot/warm water or the salt just starts eating away the paint. Believe me, i live in Chi-town, winters are somewhat brutal around here.

I try and wash mine every week in the winter...I hate the way that road salt looks on the paint...plus, I don't think that stuff is really that good for anything on the car!!!

Finally washed my car yesterday, damn it was gross. My wheels are still dirty.....I just wated to get them mostly clean for now but in the spring I have a project on my hands....I will have to scrub them....
Washing your cars in the winter is like spitting in the wind. I for one love the investment of a car cover. I don't care what people think even if i go christmas shopping with my car in the mall parking lot this sucka's getting a condom 24/7.
i couldn't take it any longer. had to wash the car, but it was so cold my hands are numb. used half of a bottle of bug and tar remover on it too. now i just gotta vacuum out the inside. its so loathsome cleaning the car in the wintertime.
Definately not wash it more in Winter, but i try to hose it down and the undercarriage at least once a week to get all the crap off. Definately hose it down with some power hose thingy at a diy car wash to get the salt and dirt buildup during the winter times. But now the water is freezing cold and it gets dirty the same day i wash it so no point.
i agree with u sumama cause everytime i wash my civic it rains but i do realize it eats away ur paint so it kinda sucks both ways
mine hasnt been fully washed in lke a month but i've vaccumed it out once in a while and since i dont have rims i guess im sorda lucky but then again the salt may rust it right?

Yeah I haven't washed my car since it started raining up here so much mud and road grimme. Its under cover when its home so I am not too worried but yeah I try to wash it once a mth now. Yeah I remember when I was living in Phoenix I had a clean car a lot but since it was sunny all the time I found tons of sand and dust on the car so I don't know what is worse. Atleast up here once it rains for awhile and you have a dry stretch your car stays super clean usually.
Yeah if I washed my car every 2 weeks like what people say I would be working too much on it and just make me depressed when it got dirty in like a day or 2 just driving to work and back
Nick

I wash mine about the same. I just like driving around with it all clean and shiney. In the winter it seems like everytime i wash it about 2 days later it rains again
oh well. At least the chicks like riding around in a clean car.

I've washed my car twice since I bought it....
You guys do know that washing your car too often will most definately cause faded paint and promote rust don't you??..
Hosing your car down in winter also "seems" like a god idea untill you figure out that your just shooting pressurised salt water into places it never would have gotten before...
My old car 93 Sonata was washed every spring and fall...that was it.. car went 10 years without a single spec of rust...
