Tinting strip across top of front windshield

I like windshields that have dark tinting across the top, and unfortunately the Civic follows the rule that all entry level model cars, must not have this. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way of adding a tint strip? I don't want it to look too homemade. Should I bother with this at all?

you could take it to a tint shop and they'll put one on for ya. or you could go to a vinyl/graphics shop and they can put a vinyl strip up there for ya, price is usually around 50-100 bucks. i tried to do this myself once on my last car, and it came out screwed up, so i took it to a auto graphics shop and they hooked it up for 75 bucks.

It was an extra twenty dollars for me to get a 25 eyebrow. It turned out really nicely. Vinyl is more expensive, and I'm not a fan of the way it looks, so I went with regular tint. Go to a professional tint shop to get this done. DO NOT do it at home. DO NOT buy a kit and do it. They always look nasty.

I went to an art supply store, got a 4ft roll of 3M vinyl for decals for $7....sprayed on some dishwashing soap & water under the decal...placed the vinyl strip on the windshiled...used the hot air dryer....and voila...vinly strip for under $75!!!

Good price. A tint strip shouldn't be like 100 bucks. You can get all your windows tinted here for that price. For a tint strip, 10 to 30 dollars is kew. Highest I've heard was 30.
