yup today I picked up some more "micro-fabric cleaning cloths" from walmart. The ones I already have are getting kind of dingy so I figured what the heck $5 later I have two new towels. If anyone hasn't tried these I highly recommend them for removing wax and polish. Very good investment they're also handy for dusting off the interior of your car.

I love Micro Fiber towels. I use them to wipe off the car after waxing and also I use them as the dry cloth for doing windows. I actually just picked up 2 extra fine Micro Fiber towels from my supplier and I have to say that they are much better than the regular micro fiber towels.

Hmm...I am always up for some new towels or any car care product for that matter. I have noticed them at walmart but haven't purchased any. I am going to get some next time I am in there since you guys have given approval.

So is a Micro Fiber cloth the best way to remove wax and polish? I've been using cheese cloth or polish cloth, btu i'm afraid that that's not really preventing any of those swirl marks.

well I've come to love the micro fiber towels, but the swirl marks are not from a material but the way you are applying and/or removing the wax. You need to go up and down the car in the direction of wind as if you were driving the car. Swirls come from applying wax in a circular motion and removing it this way.

What is the best material to apply wax? I've been using either the sponge that the wax comes with our those terry cloth covered sponges. I don't wax in swirls anymore [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]

when I apply wax or polish I usually use a rectangular sponge. This way you can get a big package for less than 2 applicator pads and I like them even better cause they have a strait edge so you can really get a clean line. I tend to stay away from the kit wax/polish cause I feel that the liquid goes on smoother and gives a better overal final appearance, even though they come with a pad.

I use terry cloth towels to apply the polish, wax, etc...I think meguiars recommends to use the terry cloth but not positive.

I would say yes cause that's what they are designed for so give it a try. For some reason if you don't like em (don't know why) then you've only wasted $5.

No...Micro Fiber are very fine towels....Goto your local auto store and pick one up. They are great for the final wipe down after waxing and for removing streaks and haze in the glass from window cleaner. I also use them to remove dust buildup from the dashboard and other interior panels.
