Cleaning Tree Sap off the Car
Well this is for my dad, but we have douglas firs around our place and they are starting to leak sap again and its getting on the cars. So what is the best stuff to use to get it off with? I was thinking a little Vinegar? Any other ideas you have post em

Rep Power: 0 You could use any bug and tar/tree sap remover from wal-mart. I'm thinking WD-40 will work too. Just be sure to wax that part of the car afterwards, even if it makes it shinier than the rest...

Rep Power: 396 << It can be removed using alcohol, gasoline, Turtle Wax or any other brand "Bug & Tar Remover".
Apply, wait a bit and rub with a paper towel for some time. >>
Never put paper towel on your paint...you will scratch the cr*p out of the car. I usually use a solvent. You can try Aftaline. You can buy it at home depot. It works like bug and tar remover but it is much stronger. You can also use it to remove gum, and stains and stuff. Afta has plenty of uses. Just make sure to wear gloves and use the product in a well ventilated area. Also after you remove the sticky stuff you will want to wax over that spot. The Afta can dull the paint, if you do not wax it.
I'd try the bug and tar remover cause that's what it's meant for. I'd be afraid to put some real foreigh stuff on my paint you don't know what'll happen. Just make sure to add a lyer of wax over it when you're done.

I own a detailing busines.. I do it out of my house. I am going to open a shop in a few years. I have been doing detailing since 1988.

Rep Power: 0 Sweet deal, get a lot of business out there? A friend of mine has one here in Phoenix he was saying Fridays are the busiest days for him, does a great job too he has a private individual who does his tinting and does a excellent job.

Rep Power: 396 Nick for now I only do it on the weekends in the spring and summer. I do fairly well. I have a nice size clientelle and I get more people each week from word of mouth. If I open a shop I will move out of NY. In the winter it is hard to survive here. Not many people want to spend the money to have there car cleaned when they know it will get covered in snow and salt.

Rep Power: 396 Over the Top...The clay will not remove this sitckey gooey sap. You can try it but it most likely will not remove it.
