Im scared to wash my car
Hi all 7G Civic owners. I recently bought a 02 Civic Ex and am loving it. I am afraid to wash it though. I dont want to get any sort of swirls on it whatsoever. I have a perfect paint job, and hope to keep it that way. Any advice?

Best advice I could offer is use lots of water and soap and wash it in the shade. A trick I learned is instead of putting the soap in the bucket, dump a liberal amount on the wash mitt and use it that way. The soap is the lubricant, the water the solvent. Use a chamois when you are done and use 100% cotton terry cloth when wiping off wax...the thing that sucks, sooner or later your car will get swirl marks, its inevitable...congrats on the new car!

then keep it dirty so then you dont ever have to wash it
if you wash your car properly you shouldn't get any swirel marks... ever. You shouldn't whipe off wax either. I think you mean buffing it out. After washing your car, adding wax then buffing off the excess of it. Just make sure to use proper car soap, it doesn't really matter which brand I would just keep away from car soaps that include wax. Put the wax on yourself by hand.
