What are the best methods and products to use on a black car. I have a slight cloudiness to my car after using swirl remover, polish, and wax. It's not really noticeable, only in a certain light and in just certain random spots. It just doesn't seem to have an overall solidity or brillance if that makes sense. Do I really need a buffer to achieve optimal resuls?

yes you can apply all those things with hand BUT buffer will make it shiner becuase of the heat that is generated from the buffer, also apply everything with the buffer ,and remember its not the was that makes it shiny its the polish.

the grease stains out of carpet, just use some ordinary carpet cleaner that you buy for the home and get a scrub brush, the engine spray stuff is this special kind of grease sorta like tire shine that lasts for a long time you cant really make your own unless your good with chemicals which i am not. you can buy shines from www.carbrite.com

if the stain is just so bad that nothing will work you might wanna take it to a detailer around your town and just get the "inside" onlly done and they will shampoo it and it will most likily come right off , or you can goto wal mart and buy carpet paint which basically paints your carpet.

use clay magic or meguires mist and wipe and their clay bar and just rub hard , then go over it with heavy compund and a buffer, that should get it out. b4 u do all that use a power washer and degreaser.
i've tried the mothers claybar system, but it didn't work for this. Won't the rubbing compound leave scratches? I don't have a buffer and dont want to burn the paint, so i'd like to get them out by hand. if i use a rubbing compound, what is the procedure for repairing the scratch/swirl marks i just made?

well the whole purpose of compund is to get out minor scratches and such. buy some sort of sracth/swirl remover. try by hand at first, the buffer shouldnt scrach it up . you may just be out of luck cuz ive never had to deal with road pebbles b4.

Meguires scratch and swirl remover doesnt work. I have owned a detailing business since 1988. You wanna remove scratches...Here are my easy steps:
1. Start off with 3M One Step Cleaner Wax

2. Then use 3m Imperial Hand Glaze

3. And Finally 3M liquid Wax

There are many products out there that will do the job for you. I have found 3M to be one of the best chemical companies on the market. Here is a website where you can research all the different manufacturers that make waxes and other car cleaning chemicals...You can even order from them.
