Who makes a good polish?
this may sound like a stupid question. But I have always waxed my car, never polished. So can u guys give me a hand and tell me a good polish?
Sonus Restore
Sonus Enhance
Sonus Final Flash
good 3 step polish if u want to be serious bout things.
Just stick to Klasse, P21s, AutoGlym.
I just started up doing details for money. Im saving up for the better products. I am currently using the Meguars 3 step and its nice.
Peace

meguiar's #7 show car glaze. I was amazed how rich it made my silver paint look. I use it once a year. Just don't forget to wax afterwards.
Read up and experimenrt to find what works for you.
To find the best stuff for your car, go to autopia.org and read up. Asking for a good polish is sorta like asking what's the best exterior color for our vics. Its all relative, in the mind of the beholder, matter of personal taste, etc. Actually, what I've learned so far is that a "good" polish depends on (a) color of car, (b) how badly the paint is marred, (c) how long you want the thing to last (actually this is more true about wax or sealant -- final topping), and (d) what kind of shine you want (i.e, popping bright, salad oily, or clear which is best for light colors).
I have a silver vic with only occasional light marring (i.e., micro-scratches or spiderwebs) so I've been using vanila moose as polish and EX-P for sealant. Meguiars and 3M each make about 10-15 different polishes for different purposes. For beginners, the 3-step products are a good start, then you wanna get some good microfiber towels so you don't mar (i.e, scratch) the finish and an orbital buffer.

Ok, I went to the Auto parts store to get my stuff today. I bought a Mothers california Gold Clay Bar (paint saving system), I'm going to Mix that with Meguires polish and wax. Will it work or not?

I would add in (e) machine or hand polishing.
There's a lot of info at autopia.org
Personally, I have both a Porter Cable 7428 Circular polisher, and a PC 7424 Random
Orbital. I like the Einzett (1Z) Polishes.
