Dude...I am a car Detailer and I am going to give you some good advice.,...I would only get black if you plan on washing and glazing the car every week. I wouldnt get black if you plan on taking the car to the car wash or if you are just going to wash it and not do anything else to it.....Black is the worst color and most people that buy a car that is black regret it within the first month of owning it beccause of what a nightmare it is too clean and keep clean...Black cars show every form of dirt, light scratches, oxidation, haze, and swirl marks....If I was you I would go with Silver or white or even Charcoal grey...Just stay away from black

i got black, but once u go black u dont go back, j/k. but yea.... i cleaned my car in the 35 degree weather and waxed it in the garage and this thing shines like nothing. looks like glass, but when its dirty, its ugly. so plan on cleaning it every month at least twice. make sure to wax it too, and i dont think its too bad, i like it being black, and its not hard to clean, but to keep it clean is a problem, it shows all the dust. but it looks awesome when its clean.

yeah but any dark color car even black has a better shine than most light color cars . Maintaing a darker color car is tough but they do have that nice mirror shine

Listen to civicdude. Glaze before wax makes the car look a million times better. I use meguiar's 7 show car glaze and always different wax. I've tried KIT, meguiar's 27, and turtle wax ultra shine they're all pretty good. Gonna try some NXT that I picked up this summer

The point is...wax doesn't make your car any better. It just protects the glazing and other stuff you do before. Wax is just a final cover to protect paint. Glaze really brings the color out. So if you really want it nice, you can do that clay bar thing after washing, then wash again, glaze, then wax. It's worth it. I only glaze maybe once a year and wax twice a year. My car looked really nice.

well on the first link i posted the car in the left(my dads benz) is a 94' and since then it still has its shine! the car has been washed regualrly(every other week when its not raining) and so far i dont see anything wrong with the paint, still has a shine like it was new(well sorta). its just the brake dust in the front wheels is the most dirtiest part of the car to wash everytime i wash and detail it.

I would buy black, my whole family has black cars with exception to my moms anthracite TL.

I would however invest in a Porter Cable dual action polisher. Swirl marks do show but if you spend 1 full day every 3 months it can be easily fixed. Every 6 months I use clay bar, paint cleaner, swirl remover, polish, glaze, and seal with either P21S or Pinnacle Souveran both great for black cars. If you enjoy spending time on your car and making others jealous then go black.

If you just want something to drive and cleans up easy go silver or white. Of course keeping the paint looking good isn’t cheap. Although I do some detailing for people I still have 800 bucks in car cleaning supplies.

I would never buy anything but black.

yea, id say so, also i guess it depends if you park it outside too, cuz that black benz has been parked in the garage the whole time we have had it. iono about my car tho, cuz its still too early to tell. and als owat gearbox said is true too, glaze makes the car look alot better. havent use glaze on my car yet but on my friends blue tc (he has done it) it lookd real nice. i might just do that to my dads car this weekend.

If you park outside I would clay bar your car. It doesnt take too long, I even do my windows with some old clay. Then I would get a good polish, if your doing it by hand I would try meguiars Scratch X it does a good job. Then I would get some polish, glaze it, then wax it. I would say to do those steps including washing and drying, your looking at 3 1/2 hours of work.

Just the same as any other color. You can see it better on black, most of them can be polished out or just covered up with black wax.

If you get black, good luck with it....Something I didnt mention before....Stay away from the automatic car washes, or the brushless car washes. The chemicals they use to clean the car are so strong that it will strip the wax that is on the car, or dull the brightness of the paint over time...You also can get swirl marks from going to a car wash...For best results in the winter or cold weather I suggest going to a detailer that does hand washing....

yea i have decided to go with the white rsx, only reason i really wanted black was because it came with black interior, and black was the only color i liked that came with black interior, white was my first pick, i just didnt like its interior, but i went and looked at one at the Acura place and i liked it, so white it is =)

I have heard so many people talk about glazing their cars. Where do you get this glaze from. I've looked EVERYWHERE for it and no luck. Help!!!
