getting oil out of carpet in the trunk

getting oil out of carpet in the trunk

ya stupid me. i was bringing some used oil to my work and i didnt put the bottles in a bag. long story short some oil spilled on the carpet in the trunk. any ideas on how to clean the mess i made. or would it be best to replace the carpet.

Try OxiClean. Luckily it was just the trunk carpet which is not expensive or hard to replace.

walmart might have that good a deal on large quantities of other "rolls" in the back

or just take the carpet out and throw it in the washer... it only has like 2 lil clips holding it

Yeah throw it in the washer, and then throw it in the trash. The washer won't get the oil out, but it will make it all fuzzy and ruined.

Try to find some lifter1 stain remover in a spray can. Spray that, let it sit for a bit, and then wipe it with some paper towels. It'll come right off.
