Best Wax to use?
Best Wax to use?
Ive been using Meguiers for quite a while now and I recently waxed a black civic with Meguiers (Carnuba Yellow wax) these are the steps I took...
1. Applied Meguiers paint cleaner
2. skipped the Meguiers Polish
3. Applied Meguiers Carnuba yellow wax
It looked good after it was all done but it wasent smooth at all and the Meguiers Carnuba yellow wax was a huge pain to buff off. So I was wondering is there an easier wax to apply and take off?

Kit wax and turtle wax ultra gloss are very easy off. Meguiar's also has a nxt tech wax that's supposed to be really good. Haven't tried it yet.

If you want wax that is easy on and off, get some P21S or S100 carnauba wax. The S100 you can get at a local Harley dealer for about $15; great stuff. Poorboy's EX and EX-P are easy on and off too, not to mention, very durable.

Ramones... I guess it would be subjective for the most part, but I would have to disagree with you. If you have ever used P21S or S100 carnauba wax, that stuff comes off with ease. The same goes for the Poorboy's EX and EX-P.

That's not what I wanted to hear after already buying the nxt tech wax
Maybe I'll hold off using it. I've had a great shine from turtle wax ultra gloss, and it still looks good almost a month later. I used to use meguiar's #26 wax but it sucked, then switched to KIT, which lasts very long but doesn't affect the appearance.

I don't know. KIT says is lasts up to a year, and I've had it last at least 6 months. The turtle wax I just tried, and it actually makes the finish shinier. I guess it doesn't matter with wax too much. The stuff that really makes the car look good is glaze/polish, which is applied before the wax. Meguiar's #7 is really the best for that.
I use Klasse All in One pre cleaner then seal with Klasse Dealant Glaze. Here is a picture. My truck is outside 24/7/365.

You can top the Klasse with P21S for a "Brighter shine".
You can purchase Klasse fromAutopia. Click here
Autopia will be adding the "Klasse Kit" later this week wich will have Klasse All In One(Pre Cleaner), Sealant Glaze(Sealant), Microfiber towels, Applicators and Detaalspray.

All I use is Pro products. Thats what I order from my suppliers for the detail shop that I run. I've tried other products, but nothing compares (IMO) with PRO.
Pro Wax
Pro Wax
Meguiars Gold Class is my personal favorite but I think the surface prep work is more important that which wax you use. (IMHO) Once the surface has been cleaned, clayed & polished I've used Turtle Wax and had everyone go on and on about the finish. My .02.
I just used that NXT Wax by Meguiers, it works quite good, very easy to apply and take off, Kindof expensive at $12.00 bucks but what the heck it works good and even smells good, like a strippers butt.

Here's is my Civic with Poorboy's Pro Polish, EX-P, and S100. This picture doesn't do the shine justice; the depth in the paint is awesome
I use the Poorboy's once every six months and the S100 once a month to keep the paint looking like it was dipped in vegetable oil.
And yeah... I know I have to cut the weeds.
