Anyone else use AstroShield?

After a quick search turned up nothing I wanted to ask if any of you use Astro Shield Auto Cleaner/Polish/Glaze?

I was turned on to this product from a friend, used it once and now am hooked.

Here is the website: http://astroshield.com

I wanted to know if anyone here uses this on thier car, what they think of it?
Also, do you need to use a real wax on top of this product or are you good to go after just this?

I e-mailed the company and this is the reply:

Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding our product AstroShield. We believe AstroShield to truly be the “World’s Finest” one-step automobile (and boat and plane and household) cleaner, polish and glaze. Once you’ve used AstroShield, you’ll never wax your car again! (After all, we now know that any wax, even the famous Carnauba, will be sensitive to environmental changes – soft & sticky in summer, hard & brittle in winter, and all too easily washed off, ultimately offering very little protection to your valuable vehicle.)
With AstroShield, you’ll save more, because our proprietary combination of two premium silicone polymers is designed to cross-link with a highly water and detergent resistant silane (similar to those chemicals used to waterproof clothing). Together, they will bond to and protect almost any smooth nonporous surface (not suitable for polyethylene, polypropylene or similar plastics) with a high-gloss, low-friction glaze that will out-last any other product on the market, thus extending the usable life of the surface being protected. (Please note that AstroShield contains no smeary silicone oils, that can make re-painting a “fish-eyed” nightmare.)

Let me know if you use it, what you think and all.

I really like it because I washed/dried then applied the polish to the entire vehicle before removing it about 10-15 minutes later.

A nice break from the apply-wait-remove each section routine i was doing with other waxes, also it looks MUCH more shiny than what i was using and seems to be lasting a long time!

My friend has a red/silver (two tone) subaru and it BAKES daily in the South Florida Sun, she has had it since it was new and its has been 7 years of this product with NO signs of fading and still nice glooss look, you wouldn't know the age of the car by looking at the paint. SO I guess it does protect the paint...

Waiting for others to chime in too

I have never used it. Their website offers almost no information about the product though. How is it recommended that you apply it? Wonder if it has a lot of filling properties. I am also wondering how this stuff is.

no, no affiliation whatsoever, I see it looks that way! Sorry.

I just want to know what people think, guess it is too much of a small potatos company, well maybe someone else will chime in sometime..
