I am just curious what most of you use. I usaully use a Porter Cable to apply the polishes and the sealants and waxes I usually do by hand.

It goes on and off so easy that P21S is probably better done by hand.

Bobbyd, you know me... I use my Porter Cable. I don't know how I ever survived without it. There's only a few waxes that I prefer doing by hand, other than that, everything on PC.

I used to do it all by hand, but now that I'm married I have 2 cars to do and less time to do it. Now I apply the stuff by hand and take it off with a Craftsman random orbit counterweighted polisher/buffer.

I apply cleaners, polishes, waxes and remove the wax with the Dual Action Polisher.

Depends on the condition of the car and color (but, thats just me). On a newer car, I will do everything by hand. For an old beat up car (which i refuse to do, I would have used a machine). As you all know... Iam a Euro guy, so, I only detail new euro cars

I use a PC 7424 for polishes and waxes. For sealants that require a REALLY thin coating like Glanz Wax, and Klasse SG, I'll do it by hand. I'm still trying to get the hang of my rotary, a PC 7428, for compounding and polishing.

Life is so much easier with the 7424.

Yes, P21S is a hand wax job for sure. Sometimes I spread Poorboy's EX with a PC and the black pad but usually it is by hand.
