Rep Power: 267 california duster scatch?
Ok I have a NBP civic so since its black its really hard to keep clean and it always looks dusty so I was considering getting the califronia duster, Now it says on the package that it wont scratch the paint but I always thought that if your pushing around all sorts of dust than your gonna scratch the paint with all the dust your wiping all over the car. So how does thing not scrath your paint? Hope this made sense thanx in adavance.

Rep Power: 787 I would just use a microfiber towel to wipe dust away. Even a cotton cloth will work. The microfiber towel will actually trap dirt inside so it won't scratch the paint. Just wash the cloth after you're done. If you're really worried and your car is in perfect shape, just wash it to be safe.

Rep Power: 0 I also have a NBP paint job & i dust it about 3 x a day. The duster is specially treated with a wax that traps the dirt & dust. just remenber to dust lightly. I then follow up with meguires final inpection. It has to be a way of life, a religion, i mean u gotta get a h*** on from this Sh**! Most aren't worthy. They're just frontin'!!!!!

Rep Power: 372 I would not use a nicro fiber towel. You are just dragging the dust and dirt across the surface. You are better off using the California Duster or not using a duster at all. I would say you are safer not using it at all...Especially since you have a dark colored car and light scratches are more visible on the paint. If you had a SSM or White civic then I would say that you could use the cali duster, just because you couldnt see the scratches in the paint....

Rep Power: 350 Ive been using the duster for some time. I have a red car so the scratches show up if i had some. YOu can use it when its light dust but i keep it in storage so it fdoesnt really get dirty I would say if you drive it often then just stick to washing it
