Question Touch Up Paint and Clay Bar?

I have a couple of scratches, paint nicks and chips on my car and I was going to touch them up this weekend, but I am also going to be detailing my car. So I'm wondering which should I do first : touch up the paint and then clay bar OR clay bar then touch up the paint?

Also, how long should I should i wait for the paint to dry before detailing my car???

THANX

you should just detail it and leave the nicks alone...touch-up paint never matches oem paint

DON'T USE TOUCH UP PAINT!!! It never looks right...just detail ur car, some of it will come out but not all of it. But it will still look way better than touch up paint

i have no idea... my dad took it in for me, i'll ask him if he knows when he gets home... i'm guessing they used some kinda air brush or whatever cuz they didnt just repaint the scratch, they like repainted a one inch radius around it... the only difference is when you actually touch it, it isnt as glossy, but it looks exactly the same.

I would of detailed the car first and then use some touch up paint if tat what you are planning to do. When I worked for ford, there was a guy there with a really steady hand. He used to touch up the cars....and put alot on....When it dried he would skim off the excess paint with a clean razor blade and then wax over the spot that was touched up...it was amazing you couldnt tell that it was ever touched up.
