Crank Handle Post Needed

Does anyone know where I can find a crank handle POST for my 2004 Civic (front driver side door)? The door handle broke off and then my teenage son used locking pliers on the crank post to roll the window up and down, resulting the the post being stripped. I've taken the door panel off and can see how the part is replaceable, but I can't find the part anywhere online. If anyone can help with the official part name or where to find it I'd greatly appreciate it. Also, any instructions or videos of how to replace it would be helpful as well.

Re: Crank Handle Post Needed

I think he's talking about the post, not the handle.

The post, I believe is a manufactured in part of the "regulator" sort of a little gear box that makes the window go up and down.

I think he will need to open the door and put in a new one, which comes with the post sticking out and going thru' the door panel and where the door handle mounts.

A bit more work than replacing the handle.

But a good reason not to put locking pliers on there, but when it breaks, replace the handle then.

But, why did the handle break? Were the gears in the regulator screwed up, causing too much force to be used, thus breaking the handle?
