actually, I noticed the gap when I CLOSE the sunroof 's sunshade.....it is so obvious that the roof linner and the sunshade didn't aligh good enought so that they dun touch each other when u close the shade.
I took it to my dealer and they said they are going to replace the entire roof linner for me....
I hope it will work!

P.S. When I walking around my dealer's new car lot, I noticed that almost 95% of the new 2K2 Civic has such problem. Maybe my dealer just suck..they imported a bunch of bad Civics

I noticed it right away on the 2k2 Civic that I test drove. Every one at the dealer was the same so I fugured it was normal.

When I test drove my 2k2 EX, I noticed it. It still has this problem, but I'm pretty much over it. I looked around the lot and found, as you said, that many of the Civic coupes had this problem. To describe it better, when you close the sunshade, the headliner does not line up correctly with the sunshade...it sags, to put it in other words, and so you can see the roof itself (usually the color of your car) or you can see sunlight shining in.

It seemed also that this happened on the passenger side of the sunroof headliner (right side)...at least that is how it is on mine and the other ones I saw at the dealer...
