Trying to get my GF's car inspected in Maryland. They are telling me that it needs a new ball joint. They say in order to replace the ball joint that they also have to replace the KNUCKLE and hub because it is not possible to replace the ball joint without breaking the other two. Does that sound right? Total cost $600. Also I was thinking about doing it myself thing is I went on to Majestic Honda I looked at the KNUCKLE for both the 2001 and 2002, on the 2001 the ball joint is seperate from the knuckle and on the 2002 the ball joint is already pressed into the knuckle thing is they are the exact same part number??? I want the knuckle with the already pressed ball joint but I am not sure what to order.
