Hi, I have a 2001 honda civic dx 1.7 I am really having a problem with this car...I even took it to a honda dealer and they didn't even know what to do. So the car starts up and runs but the battery light is on and I replaced the battery and the alternator and the negative ground for the battery as well and still have the battery light but the real problem is that when I drive the car is shuts off on me when driving it. It's a manual so, I turn the key off and on, the car comes back to life but it is stuttering and it will shut back off again. I would say in about 5 miles the car will shut off about 20 times. So the dealer pulled the computer and said that its a Acura computer not the right one for the car. So they got a computer and put it in and the said that all it does is start and shut off now dont stay running at all. So, I was wondering if that the person who had the car before me put that computer in and also changed the crank shift sensor to run with the Acura computer. So do you think if I Change out that sensor it will run right with the new computer??!!..... please someone help I am at a loss and my other car was just hit in the back end Saturday so I really need this car to run..

Did they put an OEM sensor in?
Are you sure the alternator bolts are tight and not stripped out?
