2005 Civic LX revs up when I give a normal amount of gas

Hi everyone, new to the forum here so sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place.

My 2005 Civic LX Manual (~159,000 miles) has had this problem lately where when I give it a moderate amount of gas, the engine revs up a bit which makes me ease up on the gas before it catches and actually accelerates. Since owning it (bought it at 120,000 miles or so) I've only done oil changes, fluids, tires, air filters, maybe brakes, and had one of the catalytic converters replaced. I know there's a lot that can/should be done, but curious if anyone knows what this specific problem might be.

Thanks!
