Do you hear a rattling sound? Most likely it's the crankshaft position sensor or the reluctor ring. If you don't hear any rattling, then the teeth on the reluctor ring are damaged or the CPS is on its way out.

Did this happen after a recent timing belt service? Sensor and wires get disturbed and trigger a code.
