So i'm rebuilding an 02 lx civic.
I recently put in a JDM engine with an aftermarket header....and no turbo this time...
On my 05 civic, the wiring harness has two 02 sensor connectors located near each other.
This 02 civic seems to only have one 02 sensor connector at that location.
Is there another location for a second 02 sensor or did this year only come with one 02 sensor? if so, is it narrow band or wide?
D17A2s had 2 sensors, one by the 90-ish degree bend of the downpipe and one ds of the cat (approximately under the shifter console)
D17A1s had 2 sensors (pre- and post cat) on the exhaust mani/cat assembly, one pre- and one post-cat
It should have two sensors still, primary will be a narrow band. On the EX the secondary sensor is connected to what you'd call the engine compartment harness and not the engine harness. The connector is basically right above the sway bar mounted to the firewall. Does your LX have an EX engine harness?
C455 is the secondary sensor connector. C142 is where both connectors would be on a non-vtec harness.
Both ends (from the engine harness and the chassis harness) have the same male ends.
Is this correct?
I know on my 05 one is male and the other female....
I still don't understand why your LX has that setup. As far as I know that connection in the chassis harness should only be there for the D17A2 engine in the EX.

I guess i got the lx and the ex mixed up....
uuuuuuuuselessssssss.....
I'm used to tearing everything apart and building my own crap! LOL
I went back and looked at the pictures you posted. I see a sunroof, that's an EX feature. I will now be able to sleep tonight knowing the mystery is solved
I mean... I don't have a D17 anymore, but your beast *** build would likely kick my 2018's ***. I love my 2018, but she got a fat *** and carries that extra weight. Nothing wrong with some junk in the trunk tho
For real though, my 2018 weighs about 800lbs more than my 2002 did. Also has about 100whp more than my 2002, so there's that

just to further confuse things my gold 05 had an d17a1 but it had a sunroof, and almost every other option
Not showing any power from any of the 4 wires for the downstream sensor connection.
Under dash fuse #4 is good. This is receiving +/- 12 volts.
Is there another possible connection between the #4 fuse and the sensor connection that could be loose/broken?
I'm thinking of pulling/swapping the ECU because the ignition key is not a factory stock key.
Tells me that quite possibly the key was reprogrammed for this ecu.
I mean, following the rabbit trail of no power to the downstream 02 sensor but #4 under dash fuse is good and getting power...maybe the ecu has issues...
Oof. I found that too but I thought it said that was for right hand drive vehicles so I ignored it. So yes it does look like it could go through there.
