Post Engine Light Codes P0138 & P1457

Hi,

First post here! Just found the forum.

I bought a 2001 Honda Civic EX Sedan a couple weeks ago and the engine light is on. Owner told me it was something to do with the O2 sensor. Just got it tested and the codes are P0138 & P1457. Where should I start? Are they related?

Should I get this part first for the O2 sensor?
Amazon Amazon

I have no idea what to do for P1457.

Thanks for any help!

No, that is not related to the O2 sensor.

You most likely need a new sensor but always good to check the plug out for bad wires/connector.

Do you smell gas near the back of the car when it is hot outside?

Ok, I will check the wires. No, I haven't smelled gas.

So the part I linked to is completely unrelated?
