changed upstream 02 sensor cel still on

so i replaced my front 02 sensor and re flashed the comp and it went off for 10 seconds then came back on. idk what to do now tghe cel wont go away its a brand new oem sensor straight from honda 04 honda civic ex coupe

Have you had the code read since changing the O2 sensor? If so, what are you getting now?

Also what was the code before replacing the sensor? The original problem might still exist.

Since you used an OEM sensor the likely hood of that being the problem is minimal.

it read upstream o2 when i changed it and it still says upstream even after i replaced it is there anythng else that could cause that code to come up other than the o2?

yes,

poor electrical connections and/or faulty wiring

I've never seen a scanner only say replace an o2 sensor, every OBD2 scanner I have ever used in my life all give basic powertrain codes in the standard Pxxxx format.
