Rep Power: 0 Wires from AC Compressor Cut
Hi everyone, thanks for checking out my first post. I recently purchased a 2003 Honda Civic GX. I've put a couple thousand miles on it so far and it's been great. There is an issue I'm unsure how to handle though.
The wires from the a/c compressor are cut as shown in the picture below:
The wires that I presume are supposed to connect to these wires are resting just above the a/c compressor are shown in the picture below:
While these wires are color coded, the ones coming the compressor are not. It makes me think that someone may have replaced the compressor with something newer, but didn't finish the job. Anyway, I have no idea which wires attach to which. Is there any way to tell? I think there is generally a connector between the two, but I don't have that.
Any ideas or input are greatly appreciated. It's about to get hot in OK, and I've really got to get the AC going.
Thanks for taking the time to read.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: Wires from AC Compressor Cut
Get an ohm meter.
strip a bit of each red wire.
Clip one meter lead to battery ground
Probe with other meter lead, check each red wire.
One should show around 3-5 ohms.
Mark this as clutch.
Connects to blue/red wire.
2 remaining red wires should have continuity only with each other, that would be the thermal protector. Connects to red wire and blue/white wire, does not matter which goes where.
