When my radio is on and I specifically hit the defogger I hear a loud static like buzzing. I am electronically inclined and another forum said they might be poorly grounded to the trans. They said its common. Any truth to that. Is that where their grounded together. Would like to get that fixed before I throw a Kenwood in.

Could certainly be a grounding issue. Check all the chassis grounds and pull the radio out and check the ground.

It doesn't do it every time thats the weird thing. Today was fine, others it blows the radio out with static. Dont know know if the relay/switch is arcing creating noise or ground issues. If it was ground i think it would be permanent and id notice something else.
