Cool Vancouver meet

Alright, I'm planning on making the 1000 mile trip to Vacnouver some time in the middle of May, and it'd be nice to hook up with some other 7thgen owners. I used to live in Vncouver, actually I grew up in Coquitlam, and I'ma be visiting some old friends and such. Oh, my Mom too. Anyways, if someone would like to set something up, that'd be really cool.

Oh, and I'll bring the beers ...

Oh yeah, and if anyone can get Canucks playoff tickets for games around that time (obviously later on in the playoff season) PLEASE let me know. I would love to go to a game while I'm there.

Sweet, I was thinking like Metrotown, or if anyone has any other ideas. I'll have to look and see when I'm coming up, but if we do it on a weekend, I'm thinking the 17th.

I'll check the date and confirm it and let you guys know.

I figure playoff tickets are expensive, and right now I have $1.82 in my bank account, I'm not sure. I'm expecting about $1200 though in my next pay check and once bills are paid I might still have enough to hit a game.

ok, hopefully we can get more than just two of us .. I'm going to post something in the US WEST forum and see if we can't get some guys from Seattle to come up for the day, maybe we can all go eat at the hard rock downtown or something, maybe the Keg, I dunno .. whatever ..

I'll confirm the dates and get post here in the next few days.

Oh, and that frickin sucks about the 'Nucks losing the Division championship - I'm so pissed!!

First off, I will be driving.

Secondly, no .. there are never any good deals where I live because it's such a small town. Everything has to be ordered in, which sucks. Most of the parts on my car have come off eBay or some other internet site.

But if you find anything in Seattle or whatever, I might be able to stop on my way through ...

And the Hard Rock Cafe's closed down??! That sucks. I only got to eat at the one in Whistler like once a long time ago. Well anyone else have any ideas where we could go for dinner?

Ok, I figure I'm coming up either the 9th or the 16th, so we can safely arrange for the 17th of May if that fits everyone's schedules. I have to clear it with one other person first, but it shouldn't be a problem.

And anyone have a good place to meet? Let's get some suggestions.
- Metrotown, Lougheed, Brentwood, or Coquitlam Center malls
- Stanley Park
- New Westminster Quay (They have a Keg restaurant there - or at least they did)
- Science World
- GM Place
- Somewhere else?

Best place for a quick meet on the weekends is the Planetarium Parking lot.. no one is ever there during the day and its huge. Lots of places downtown to eat.... I suggest Moxie's on Cambie and Georgia (upstairs to Shark's Club by GM Place).. If you guys are broke... go to Rugby Club on Broadway and Oak.

Yeah, I figured Metrotown was a central location, and then we can go somewhere from there, grab some grub .. alright that sounds good so unless there's any other ideas let's plan on that.

Now we just gotta get the word out and have some more people show up

Waht are you, new? How long have you lived in the Lower Mainland man, it ALWAYS rains. Except when it's cloudy. But I agree, perhaps with a little luck it might not be terribly bad.

The Spaghetti factory sounds good too, I'm not really picky. I'll eat anything (within reason). Btw, Miss604 - do you know yet if you're working on the 17th or will you be able to join us at the meet?
