I just thought I would share my good news. I recently recieved a new CD Player for my civic from my GF for Christmas. I was very happy about it, as I needed to get rid of the stock HU. She specifically went out and got me a HU with a red face to match the dash lights (what a good girl), but I got indiglo guages as well for X-Mas. So I changed all my dash lights to blue.

After going out on boxing day I found this deck for $280 (including tax)



and opted to take back the deck that my girl gave to me as the Panasonic had a blue face.

This is where the good fortune starts:

After taking back the previous deck, I went to A/B Sound to pick up the new one. I was in Langley and unfortunately they advised me they had no more in stock. Wanting the sale they called around and found one in Surrey. They had me pay for it in Langley and sent me to Surrey with the reciept. When I got to Surrey A/B I flashed my reciept and said I was here to pick up a deck on hold.

The girl had a guy run upstairs to grab it for me. (Keep in mind it was real busy, 27 Dec).

He came down and gave me the box and I was on my way. In my excitement I couldn't wait till I got home so I ripped open the box to find they had given me the wrong deck. You think crap right no, not really. To my surprise I found that the Langley had charged me $280 for the deck and give me one that was retailing at $490 without tax.

Your a lucky SOB! Not to rain on your parade but you better hope that nobody steals your deck. You only have a receipt for the shitty deck. That's what ICBC will cover. Unless you can get BRAD to hook you up if you know what i mean. Tell him now so he can get you a receipt. I think he can do that for ya! Let me know how you make out...

Wanna know a better deal?
I bought a FS32-100 sony wega ( 32" Flatscreen Sony Wega TV) from futureshop. I picked it up on Friday
and showed my receipt to some sales guy. He then had it wheeled out to my car. When i got home and saw
the box, they had wheeled out the wrong tv - a ( 36" Flat screen tv HDTV 500 series) worth more than a grand
of what i had paid for.. now the real deal is i brought the receipt back to the same futureshop and picked up
the right tv cuz the sales guy forgot to mark my receipt the first time! hahaha so now i paid $1170 for a 32" sony wega worth $1400 retail and a 36" HDTV Sony wega worth $2500+!! hahaha now THAT's a deal!

Thank god for stupid people.

Not much new with the car, I am hoping to finally get my indiglo guages in this weekend. I put in my front upper strut last weekend and the car definately handles much better. I am picking up a rear upper strut from Groupbuycenter.com on the weekend (Bomz strut).

I am unfortunately still waiting for my Eibach Sportlines to be shipped to me. I have been waiting now for almost a month. Oh well, I shouldn't complain for the price (180 CDN).

I need to get started on my custom box for the trunk, but too much to do so little time. Work and sports take up alot of time, and of course my girl requires attention as well (gotta keep the Mrs. happy).

After that, I will see how things look and decide if I want to paint my headlights black or leave em cleared. (Not quite sure yet). I might get an extra set of headlights and swap em.

Anything new with your car, I understand you were getting rid of your rims, or am I mistaken.
