i get around 560-600KM in the city(Calgary). the gas light comes on when there is 8-12L left if the tank. if i was on the highway going the speed limit, 700KM is very atainable.

actually i hit 700+ kms but there were still 2-3 lines left so it means i can add another 100 or so kms to that...and this wasn't granny shifting driving too...80% city driving...

that's awesome... esp. with these crazy fuel costs...
whut do you mean by 2 or 3 lines tho? cuz i only have like 3 increments on my EL... one at full, one at middle, and one at low...
btw, when going down a hill, does putting the car in neutral (or stepping on the clutch on manual cars) save gas? cuz going down a hill in gear will force ur rpms to increase, rite? does that mean more fuel consumption?

Theoretically it should, cuz it you're driving along at 4000 rpm, get to the hill, then go into neutral, it'll go down to 1000 rpm. So then your engine is going slower, and consumes less fuel (i think). BTW you dont have to stay in neutral all the way down the hill, you can just shift into neutral, then back into D with the same results.
