Hit and Run today GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

Story:
I am on the arthur lange bridge, going towards richmond.
As I am coming off the bridge, I go onto the richmond ramp, but a silver PT cruiser in the lane to my right suddenly realizes he has to go to the left lane towards the airport.
He changes lanes behind me, but hits my rear bumper while changing. With no where else to pull over, I pull over into the grass. I see him driving towards the airport (driving over the grass... he obviously doesnt know how to drive). He stops pretty far away.

Diagram to clarify:

So i get out of my car, i check out the damage, the rear bumper needs to be repainted.
I go into my car and grab paper and a pen, and start walking across the grass towards him. As he sees me coming, he jumps back into his car and drives off towards the airport, causing me to swear very loudly.

ARGH I HATE HIM!!!!!!!!

Anyone got any ideas what to do? Should i go to icbc and claim a hit and run or get this painted myself? This is the second hit and run in the past two months! GRRRR.,....

thats what i was gonna say...go to a local police station and report a hit and run...describe the vehicle and i think they'll try to work with icbc on this one...coz a hit and run like that is (i'm not sure on this) a misdeamenor up to a criminal offense...

sorry to hear about...

But doesnt that still put me back $200 with icbc?
would it be cheaper to paint the bumper?

damn, if this woulda happened during our meet, we coulda all chased him down - 16 civics vs. 1 PT Cruiser
hahaha that would be cool... he'd be really freaked out

but anyway, that reely sucks... i don't really know alot about icbc claims, etc. but i'm pretty sure there's lotsa hassle involved with a hit and run claim...

Just call ICBC and file a report. I think to fix the bumper it would be more than the deductible so that's the route i'd go.. ICBC.

i got rear ended... estimate was approx 800 to get a new bumper and repaint. plus labour from icbc...after that ended up costing more cuz they found more damage after taking off my bumper..definitely gonna cost more than the 200 deductible..

i'd definitely report it...teach that driver a lesson...give them a nice criminal record and you get the satisfaction of having this fool's insurance go up.
