I'm not racing anymore....

Well....my sister came home last night with a totalled car, non-comprehensive insurance, and a good chance of getting both charged and sued. She wasn't racing, she broadsided someone due to inattention. I have the same type of insurance as she does....which is basically 200,000 for the person you hit if the accident is your fault. Your own car is not covered at all. She went from having a 87 Integra in MINT condition to having nothing at all in a matter of a fraction of a second. SO! I'm done. I cant risk the consequenses if something happens to me like what happened to my sister. And chances are, it would be 10x worse if i was racing....

So basically, i'll still attend meets and everything, just wont race anymore. I have an automatic anyway so....

Peace guys...keep it safe...

I don't know what to say.... well, good for you.
I wish I can say that too but I know that when I'm at a red light and some punk pulls up beside me and starts revving his rice-car, adrenaline rush kicks in. Have to teach some lessons. I only race at an area I'm familiar with so I know I'm safe from cops.
I don't instigate races, I only teach lessons to punks...
I definitely won't drink and drive no more... got into an accident but got away with it. No other cars were involved, only poles but never again.

I won't race in the city anymore like i used to when i was in my younger days ( 17 - 20 ), now i just creep up behind the guy that think's he's all that and then just cut him off and slow down like a moothahfook...

I get really pissed off when someone cuts me off. The other day i thew my full can of coke at some van that cut me off. Then i got my pipe and told him we can get it on anytime... i hate it when i get like that, but i can't help it..

Racing.. well city racing comes all too familiar.. almost hit some chick crossing the road the other day. Stupid pedestrians, use the
f'kn xwalk. Anywayz, racing in city no good. Only on highway where no pigs lurk... peace.

Wow. That sucks for your sister. really sucks. not racing is smart. I've cut back on driving fast/racing a lot lately. I don't think i've stopped but i've certainly slowed down a ton since I got my civic.

Whoa, glad your sis is ok...sorry to hear that tho.
After all the crazy accidents that have been happening around Vancouver, it's just not worth it.
I never was one of the 'street racing type people' but I know more than ever that I never will be.

Damian, I rarely race and speed. The only time I do is when I am perfectly lined up against a car. None of this cat/mouse type action or crap like that. I like nice clean races and I won't push it past 40 over. When I drive normally, I don't even speed anymore. The thrill of the civic kinda wears out. Also, I almost lost my car in the summer time to some idiot in a pickup truck who almost forced me off the road because he was mad at me(I was in the fast lane and was getting picked on, he wouldn't let me exit the fast lane no matter how hard I tried, so, I tried to outrun him). Problem was, I was a moron since I was travelling in excess of 160kmh at the time. I know how you feel, I could have lost it all, my car and my gf who was a passenger.

Yah, there are just too many risks and not enough insurance to cover it.

Plus, if i get ANY kind of felony charge against me, like reckless driving....i cant even apply to Law School....
