I heard something about ANY and ALL car mods being made illegal in Richmond or some place in BC recently. Is that true?

they cant just all of a sudden make things illegal. Some motor vehicle stuff is federal, like SAE standards I think. But I think richmond police members will just be on the look out for cars that are modded, pull them over, and then see if there are any illegal violations to give reason for a VI (at the owners expense of course)

well...I think the key is for you to know the laws, and know your rights. Don't let the cops push you around. Read up on your specific mods and find out if they are legal or not. Then put the legislation in your glove box, and carry it with you. So if you do get pulled over, you'll be able to prove your mods are legal (if they are)

My thoughts exactly Icey. I think I may have even suggested that to Rice Girl. That's definatly what I'd be doing if I were living in Richmond.

Yea your right. Once I get my car all cleaned up I will. but it won't be as bad once I'm 18. They just don't like it when a 17year old has a brand new Honda.

yeah know your laws etc...but make sure you're not all stuck up about what you know or you'll end up with a ticket anyways.....always treat the cop like god first...the mva and what you know is right or wrong will hold up in court when you challenge the ticket etc...

i'll have to agree with Toasty,
i wouldnt want to sound like i know
the law better than the cop,
Act innocent/ignorant and show him
the paperwork, hopefully he'll think
someone fed you false info and let
you go with a warning.
