New member here- need helpful advice! Have 2019 Civic Sport sedan with auto trans and keyless start-stop button. TPMS warning on after tire rotation by local shop. Just checked all tires, pressure as per specs. Have 669 page (!) owner's manual that has instructions on resetting this warning but cannot kill the warning. Two relevant pages from said manual attached. Can someone who has actually done this explain it to me?
Choose calibrate on the head unit, drive around for a half hour, maintaining speed between 30-65mph. What I did was hit the calibration button at the stoplight waiting to get onto the freeway (when cross traffic light turned yellow), then drove that for a half hour, in the right lane, just under the 65mph speed limit
HAve a 2020 Accord, and recently had similar experience.. car indaeler oil change and tire rotation.. pick up car Tire warning.. turn around, back to service drive thru.
Dude comes out and says it has to be calibrated, ok so do it, and why was it done by the tech..
He aired up the rires and said when they rotate they do not check pressure unless you get the tire balanced, then he said every time you rotate or air up a tire you need to re-calibrate the system.. used the HU method, dorve a few and the Pressure warning came back.. recalibrated at a stop light drove a bit and it went out and did not come back.
