installing oem radio back [solved]
installing oem radio back [solved]
recently bought a 2016 Hoda civic sedan that previous owner had equipped with a kenwood touch screen radio. I hate the radio and would prefer to install an oem one. My question is, Will i be able to buy one off ebay and install it or are the hondas vehicle specific causing me to jump through hoops to activate it?

You'll need the radio code, at the very least. Hopefully the seller has it. When I upgraded my 2018's to an OEM touchscreen, I used my VIN on the Honda website and it gave me the radio code
Do you know if your car originally came with the 7" color audio or 9" touchscreen? If the former, I'm 99% sure have my old OEM 7" color audio head unit laying around

Let me dig around and see if I have my 7" radio laying around. I usually don't get rid of parts unless I sell them or they're damaged, and I'm 99% sure I wrapped it in a crap ton of bubble wrap and put it in a box
