Suddenly unable to play iPod

I have a 2019 civic and I've been playing my iPod touch through the USB port without an issue (mostly) ever since I got it. Last Saturday I was playing my music during my drive when I noticed the screen was not responding but the music was still playing. This issue was solved before by unplugging and replugging the cord but when I tried it this time, the iPod wasn't even being recognized. I tried resetting the iPod twice and even swapped out the USB cord for a new one but nothing has resolved the issue. The message still says to connect a supported device however there is enough of a connection going to charge the iPod.

Re: Suddenly unable to play iPod

You probably still have warranty. Take it to Honda. It may need an update.

Some newer cars don't do well with older devices either. That could be the problem.
