2019 Civic Sport Hatchback replace jack

2019 Civic Sport Hatchback replace jack
Got a flat, found the jack in the compartment over the left rear tire, noticed it was wedged into its bracket really securely. Now I can't figure out how to get it back in so that it's snug. I can get it "sort of" in, and use the nylon strap to tie it down, but it still rattles around, so I know I haven't put it back in the way it was. The owner's manual suggests that maybe it twists into position? It seems like it should be easy, but I can't get it to fit quite right. Can someone maybe share a photo of how it's supposed to look when stowed?

Usually you just open the jack a bit like you're trying to raise the car and that holds it in the bracket
