Red face Stupid people, think they win the race and turn on flashers...

Some people, while waiting at a redlight this RAV4 was creeping up, I creeped up a little too because I thought it was green while I was admiring at these Si's mirrors, light turns green, the guy accelerates quickly while I was being a nice driver so I let go at 3K RPM, than the guy cuts me off without signalling (1/4 car length) and turns on his flashers, I than use my wonderful hyper white high beams while this guy was using his flashers until the next light, we both turn left, he goes really slow (like 10-15km) until the next stop sign. Oh man, I wish I knew I was racing him, else I would gave it a WOT and let vtec scream. Some people lease:

haha. mine was more stupid

Similar to your story and it was also a Rav4. At a red and a Rav4 beside me, light turns green and i accelerate quickly. I was about 7 car lengths in front and i maintain 80km for a good 50 metre.

Oddly, he accelerates to at least 120 km and flies by me. lotsa idiots around nowadays.

actually when a guy turns both flashers on... it usually means he's saying thank you for letting him in

You gotta be kidding me...

That means your car just got whooped... thank you is usually done by hand gestures aside from the 1 finger salute.

I got a story like that too...
Driving to Square One with my 11 year old nephew and some old VW golf I think it was was just driving beside me. Let's me get ahead a car length and then guns it right beside me. (I'm just cruising along normal driving cause 1) there were alot of cars around so it's impossible to drag, and 2) my freaking nephew was in the car... )
He keeps at it for a couple of lights and I din't pay attention to him, until those freaking hazards came on when he decided to get in front of my car.... (NO YOU DIDN'T)
I just woke up, all grumpy and shiet so I lost it... I tailed right up to his *** while he tried to lose me by cutting cars off. I didn't care, if there was a half a car distance, it was more than enough for me to get in... d/shifted to 2nd gear a few times and afterwards blew right past him and left him in the dust.... **** decided to hide behind another car when I the road got clear ahead of us and by this time I was already a car length away from him... lucky I was nice enough not to turn on my hazards to rub it in his face.

Really? Because it wasn't just a flash, it was umm for a while like 10 seconds, if I wasn't in a rush to pick up my mom I would have called Roadwatch and report it. Highbeams are fun, except each time I use it the life of the bulbs decrease :\ I'm going to miss these RAZO white lights, they are awesome on an SUV to blind people, going to go golden yellow lights after these die.

i think hazards are used by truck drivers to say thank you, cause everytime i let a semi truck in or something like that they always put on the hazards.

That's exactly what I thought. It's the same thing if a car going the opposite direction
flashes his highbeams at you, it means there's a cop coming up.

the flashing of headlights is right... but for the hazards thingy, I guess if it's just normal driving then it's for a thank you. But if you were racing and he gets ahead of you, then that means he just finished you off.
ie... last night I raced a Silver RSX type S and a White RSX type S along burnhamthorpe in front of the YMCA and the White one eventually turned on his hazards.

Do you guys turn on your hazards when there's a sudden slowdown on the freeway? for example, i was going down the 403 from york u. then suddenly, near the part where it splits to 401east/west, the traffic was at a standstill but before that i was going around 120kph and had to brake hard to like 20kph, while doing that put on my hazards to warn the dood behind me to brake

Yep, good practice too, its also more polite to turn off headlights and turn it on instead of highbeams, however continously flashing is just asking for something in return. The 4ways are a common act of ricer flyby. How do you warn cars behind you theres a cop infront lol.

LOL, drive it like you stole it only before an oil change. Afterall wasnt Honda recognized for high-revving engines hehe, I think ivtec goes on whenever you press the pedal hard, not like a specific RPM range like the older technology, but than I don't even know when its on, time for a vtec light.
