Slaying of an American V8
Hee hee hee... took the daddy's ride out last night.
This redneck good o'l boy in his brand new 2004 Dodge Ram V8 (you know, the ones with the 20" chrome rims) wanted to go me, cause he saw me chirp the tires.
I kepted on toying with him.. I let him start first, passed him, then let him catch up, then pass ed him again.. hehahaha I had the windows open a bit and I can hear his "Hemi" screaming for air (typical american car sound at high RPM)..
I love abuse.
It's funny, when you drive a faster car, you hardly speed... it's like reverse pyschology. But when it's time to go, you get to GO!

I wish... my old man hates BMWs!!
It was a Lexus GS400.. I think the ultimate sleeper super-sedan is the new 2004 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG... 469HP.. 513ft of torque.. 0-60mph in 4.3s
with automatic too... there's never mis-shifts.. just consistant times!!

Its not really a sleeper when u see amg badging at the back and the wheels. You know when to slow down when u see the amg. The slowest amg is probroly the ML and thats still disgustingly fast.

So true... German guys are absolutely NUTS!!
Try swalling this:
Mercedes-Benz SLK32 (yes, that little roadster) will hit 60mph in 4.7s... that is the time you will get with a C5 Corvette, driven by a PROFESSIONAL!
Audi S4 now has a 340HP 4.2L V8!! Nuff said!
Audi RS6 has a "mere" 450HP from a twin-turbo version of their 4.2L V8 engine... 0-60mph in 4.4s, in virtually any weather with the Quattro!
BMW's next-gen M5 with no longer be a WUSS with only 394HP.. it will be 500HP+ with a massive V10!! Sounds like a 4-door Viper to me!
I can't wait until people start selling them in a few years..
As for the Lexus GS400.. it's definitely not a sleeper to people who know cars. But to rednecks? Ooooh yeah
They don't believe me when I tell them it's got 300HP from a 4.0L... they think you need a big block to do it.
Sad part is, GS400's engine is not a ZZ-series.. it's a FE-series.. stands for fuel efficiencey. They have already tuned it for 400+HP.. and that's just from the factory!

the GS400 is definitely not a sleeper... you can tell with it's dual exhaust and oversized hood that it'll dominate the road...
audi S4 V8??? how the hell did they fit that engine in that hood?!? damn!

just a little info about the motor
To Audi's talented cadre of engineers, the V-8's two extra inches of length must have seemed like two kilometers. It was all that stood between them and shoehorning this melodious, 4.2-liter 4-cam 40-valve powerplant into Audi's smallest U.S. offering to create the 2004 S4.
Fortunately, engineers aren't easily denied and their solution was to pare the engine's length by ditching its thick, toothed-belt cam drive and replacing it with a slender roller chain. While they were at it, lighter pistons (by 2.5 oz. apiece) and connecting rods (2.3 oz. per) were fitted, and the advance mechanism for the intake camshafts was changed from a two-step strategy to an infinitely variable design.
Result? A responsive, torquey V-8 that spins like a Dremel tool, is compact (only 18.3 in. long) and powerful...it's rated at 340 bhp at 7000 rpm, and 302 lb.-ft. of torque at 3500. And at 430 lb. complete, the sleeveless, aluminum/silicon-block engine weighs no more than the 250-bhp twin-turbo V-6 it replaces.

on Sunday, I saw a C32 trying to take on a Corvette on 400 going south...
didn't see who won...they were both zooooooooom zooooooooom....
but the C32 wasn't shabby at all...it seemed close...maybe the guy in the corvette wasn't as good as the guy in the C32...

C32 is a cinch to drive... 350HP, supercharged, compact car, and it's automatic. It also comes with a battlion of electronic restainers (skid control, traction control, etc). I could trust my mother with it. Almost!
Corvette on the other hand, most likely it was stick, and has a superwide track. Not to mention overwhelming amount of torque. 95% of stick drivers out there are shitty, to top it all off! Ten bucks says he had it in the wrong gear haha..
I think VW/Audi definitely likes to lie about their engine horsepower though. There's no reason why Audi S4 with 340HP 4.2L V8 should be slower than a BMW M3 with only 333HP from a lousy 3.2L V6. No excuses!
But even faster cars are available soon...
RS4 will have the same 450HP Turbo V8 engine from the RS6...
Caddy CTS-V will have a 400HP Z06 with Getreg 6-Speed...
Both will be doing 0-60mph in an eyelash over 4.0s, and hit 1/4mile in low 12's......!!
