Auto Insurance
Hey people, I'm going to be going to univeristy this coming September and most likely I'll be leasing a car. I'm trying to find a site where I can get insurance quotes? Anyone know or used any? I'm 19 right now and have G2 so I don't expect it to be cheap but I checked somewhere and it said $6000....if that's the case, I think I'll be walking........
Try www.kanetix.com they offer auto quotes.

I am 24, leasing my new Civic, and a profesional driver (AZ class) and State Farm Insurance is charging me 320 per month. They said the minute I turn 25, insurance will drop down to 160 per month.
P.S I have a crystal clean driving record, never a ticket or anything and it's still this high, reason being, under 25 years of age.
Go out and buy a Toronto Sun, and flip through all the friggen pages.... There's this 416 Insurance "hotline" of some sort, that gives you insurance quotes and stuff..... I don't know the number off hand.... But I picked it up from there....
Your best bet is just to call around all insurance companies on your own. Those one-stop-shops (other than brokers) are pretty useless, and don't even really give you an accurate ballpark figure....
I've been paying insurance out the wazoo since my 2 accidents.... all the way from $6600/yr down to ..... <$4000/yr now...
25 yrs old, primary driver, 2001 Acura EL, Markham residence, 2 at fault accidents (latest one total loss in 2000).
OUCH
Cheap ways to decrease insurance premiums are: don't be primary driver, discounts with house insurance/etc, higher deductibles, cheaper car, location, etc....
My deductibles are at $1000, and my 'living address' is actually my sisters
Downtown would cost me $300 more per year. EL vs Civic, my car costs $300-400 more per year than a Civic...
Try RBC Insurance, State Farm, Wawanesa, Pembridge, TD Insurance, Meloche Monnex (if applicable), etc...

TD and Meloche Monnex are one in the same .... Your best bet would be to call a couple brokers in your area and let them find you a cheap rate ... I work for an insurance company so if you'd like I can offer some names of brokers in your area

where's ur university?
if it's out of town then use that address...
toronto is a lot more expensive than other less urban areas..
ie. i was getting quotes with Bel Air Direct.
They quoted me $3000 for Richmond Hill and $1500 for Waterloo...
I'm paying about $115 per month with State Farm... 22/F no accidents/tickets.

Females always get a cut from insurance. This is why when I get my G2 I'm moving to my cousins and my oldest cousin, 23F will be primary, while me, 16M will be secondary, and from Kanetix.com it came out to less than 3K/year.
