After Market Brake Pad Question
The most effective change IMO is the pad/ shoe upgrade from porterfield brakes as far as performance is concerned. The friction material is Kevlar- waay better than any of the others.
As far as dust is concerned, as the material is light in color, dust will not be noticable either.
But it is expensive!!
BTW, if you road race, you will realize it is important to keep the same F/R brake bias for best balance/ performance, so IMO this is the best upgrade for better braking, as the rear shoes have an upgrade as well (of course, sticky tires will have the biggest impact!!)
For our civics, here are the part#s for the pads & shoes.
Fronts AP 465a R4-S $89.00
Rears SHOE 517 R4-S $79.00
