bumdup: first do u have an intake (CAI or SRI)? if yes all u need to do is get a real K&N cone filter and u are flying.

if u dont have an intake then u can get the drop in K&N air filter to replace the stock paper filter (like ME) and u will be flying too and have better fuel mileage.

to take out the stock filter, u have to take off teh stock air box cover and u are all set.

the drop in filter is like $77+taxes at crappy tires (sale price but need to SPECIAL ORDER)
i got my brand new drop in K&N for $70 taxes in at SpeedTech in Scar

the cone filter, i dont really know cuz i dont have an intake so never look into that. but they shouldnt be too much. just stick with K&N cuz they are proven to be the best filter.

hope that's help

it's worth it man cuz u get more air flow into the engine and the car run/rev smoother

the stock air filter made by Honda are around $30-40 at the dealer

That would be a very bad idea because all the junk that the filter stops from going into the engine will now go into the engine and cause u problems. So the best thing would be is to get a K&N filter because u will never need to replace it. Just need to clean it and the kit is only like 12bux so in the long run u will save $$$.

You do know that the cone filter chargers that come with all SRI and CAI's don't need replacing. All you have to do is buy a cleaning kit for them.... they are reusable. Save your money!

If you have a budget, why don't you contact Autobas and ask for a quote on generic air filters?
