ANybody for pick up Basketball?
Anybody here play bball at the YMCA in sauga or brampton? I'm looking for some people to play some pick up ball with. I used to play enough ball when I was in high school but I stopped for about 2 years after I left school and I want to get my skills back to par for summer so I can play in the asian 3 on 3 tounament this year.

we even had Ball meets last summer.... maybe we'll do a 3 on 3 - 2k1civic.com tournament...
if we can play somewhere free and in the middle of Sauga and Scarborough i'll play

Rep Power: 0 It will be easier if you guys just rent a court at the community center. That's where I usually play.....doesn't cost too much...and you have the whole court for yourselves...

im up for some 3 on 3 or jus pick up basketball
YMCA is 15 at the west end so im assuming its the same in sauga, unless you can get by for being 15 years old then u can pay $7

I'll come and try it out but you gonna need to teach me how to play though.
Anyway, if enuff people are interested I think that it costs $50 to rent the gym at a community centre (I think) and it's for an hour so that's 100 for 2 hours. $10 per person if we get 10 guys. That's good enuff rite? I mean, that's 2 hours of non-stop play. My co-worker used to rent out the new community centre on Bristol and we used to play on Sundays. Someone look into it so we can get this going soon.

2 hours!? That's it? Come on man, if we're going to have a mini tournament of 3 on 3 we got keep the whole day open. 2 hours is more like a warm up for me. [IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG] I think we should hook this thing up for spring when it get's to about 12 degrees...this Sunday is going to be HIGH +6 LOW 0, I'm keeping me fingers crossed that it will get warmer from there on in.

Rep Power: 0 better get the cletes and jock out for this one, gonna air it out tonight, but i am thinkin why not cawthra community centre? its kind of close (for me at least ) and it would be same price i guess, i would have to look into it, but once again i will probably be the only white person on the court

don't worry about being the only white guy on the court. if you got game, it's all good. i used to play streetball after school in the rexdale area and i was the only oriental kid on the court, the rest were blacks. i remember we used to have dunk contests in the summer and we'd end up having to buy new rims with our own money because guys kept breaking them off and we couldn't afford shaq proof rims back then......[IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG] I've had my share of broken rims.

or we can play at Goodlad.. here in scarborough... nice court.... outdoor.. (we might have to wait till Late april)

Rep Power: 0 Mississauga.. the gym that I was talking about is really nice. The one wall is see through glass so if you bring friends or people walking by can watch us play. It's like you got your own fans when people are watching you play.

I just went to the YMCA yesterday and its still $15 bucks for over 16, but if a member takes you its $10.50, but u cant rent out the gym so that sucks......[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-nono.gif[/IMG]
