OT: For Sale - Bike
My green Trek 820 is for sale (yes, a bicycle, not a motorcycle ). I bought it a few years back, when I was a mountain biker. I bought the bike for over $900 new, and is still in excellent condition. There are no problems with the bike, it is just sitting in my garage waiting to be used. If you are interested, make an offer.

It's worth a lot more than that my friend, with shocks, lightweight aluminum frame, etc and barely used. I know it's worht a lot more than that, but I'm not going to try and squeeze out every penny that I can get, i just want to get rid of it.
My friend who is a mountain biker says the book value is definately over $300, but I'm willing to sell it for less than that. Probably $250. Thanks.

Post a pic. Trek 820 has always been a $300 US bike, so you'll be hard pressed to get any decent money out of that bike now. I'm in the same boat as you- I'm thinking about getting rid of my twice-ridden Gary Fisher Sugar (Full-Suspension) bike, but I know I won't get nothing for it, so I'm just going to keep it. Putting it on Ebay is an idea...

I can get some pictures for it, if you give me some time because I am on vacation right now for March Break and don't have much access to a camera, internet, or to my bike lol.
I am not sure what size frame it is, I would have to look into further detail for that.
If you want more information, or are interested, please private message me.
Please note that this bike is nowhere near a Trek 820, and therefore cannot be compared to it. This is an 830, with shocks, aluminum lightweight frame, etc. The trek 820 might be a $300 american bike, but the Trek 830 al I bought was an 800$, 900$ with tax canadian bike (i guess thats 550ish american)

it's tough to get rid of bikes for a decent price. a friend of mine tried to get what i thought was a reasonable price for her bike but nobody would buy it cause there are so many stolen ones you can get for dirt cheap

stillmatik, flexin the muscle and show'n the diamond. i used to race mountain bikes like 5 years ago. i raced for two seasons, mostly downhill, but a little cross country too. i had an intense M1, that bike was amazing, 6" travel front to back, heavy as a bitch though. in my opinion you should be able to get between $200 and $300 if its in good condition. try to hit up a younger kid they always pay more. post some flyers too at local bike shops.
not trying to flex anything...its just not cool to screw up someones sale...if you don't like it don't post....sorry dude didn't mean to sound rude..its just that it happened to me B4 and it totally pissed the hell out of me...so ppl respect other ppls sale...and if you don't like don't bid...if they are a bad seller...then for sure warn future buyers...so i don't want to ***** this thread out..so good luck with the sale man..

depends on the trim level, sugar 1 being highest, to sugar 4 lowest... brand new, they range from bit over $3000 to $1300 [american]..... but deals can be had, especially during winter.
sugars' genesis geometry is considered the creme of the crop of all full suspension designs
sugar 2 and 3 are the best trim levels, enough XT-level components to get you in gear and race without having to overhaul the bike if you had 4.
