i think brad boyes or mcCauley with a first round pick is enough
quinn gave up wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much.

imo, i dont like the trade at all......
should of went for a defenseman.

im gonna say this will end up one of the worst trades ever.
mcCauley will become great, so with Brad Boyes, who lead all scorers in ST. johns..... and whoever the first ruond pick will definitely great as well........ thats how bad luck the leafs are. 'cause their management and g/m's are f*****g morons.

might i add....... thats three first rounders for an older first rounder player.

the leafs are adding age! ...... like the red wings. but unlike the red wings, they are good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the leafs are gonna basically f*****g rebuild after next year.

dont get me rwong... nolan is good. but with back problems in the past...... this damn trade aint worth it at all
basically, after the strike.. the leafs will start from scratch

oh ya... referring to what bluetroll said..... how the leafs dont have propects and ****........
well, since im on this rant already..........

just wanted to let ppl know ...... if they didnt, that the leafs could of drafted JOE SAKIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BUT AT the time, the dumb coach........ whoever it was, decided to pick a big and tough defencemen. Luke Richardson, who now hopes to get a contract year in and year out.

ther'es more crap to the leafs you wouldnt believe........ just imaged if sakic played with wendal clark.... and gilmore.

yes. somewhat....... they're showing that they want to win. but gave up the wrong players.

and deep down inside........ well all know that any team in the western conference is tooooooooooooooo strong for the leafs.
and thats if they make it to the stanley cup finals.

even though colorado is in 7th.. or so. we all know they can pull it off. never count out Roy

dont get me started on CArter. hahah
..if he wants more calls.. take control and take it to the basket............... i'll just leave it at that.

but ya, that game was good...the chinese tall monster .... player of the game... made three free throws,... at the end, should of made four but still an 80+% free throw shooter.

They should give the ball to Yao more, every time he gets it, something good happens, sometimes Yao seems to be chilling and waiting for rebounds, he should get open and stuff

Well they never give him the ball, coz Francis and Mobley are freaking black holes (as in they never pass the ball). Anyways I don't think Yao is THAT good....but he is certainly a nice guy, I never seen a professional athlete as humble as he is, he is a good example of the chinese.

Anyways, Carter isn't playing GREAT. But I think he has been playing pretty good. I mean he has a point when he said he doesn't need to shot that much, coz the raptors have a lot of weapons. THey are 8-4 since carter come back, that means if they were healthy at the beginning fo the season they would have a pretty good record by now and we don't even have Murray back yet. Either way I am still waiting for a breakout night from Carter. I want him to pass more but I still miss the way he dunks the lights out.

I think the trade was a good one.

McCauley is one concussion away from the end of his career and Boyes hasnt proven anything in the big leagues yet and a first round pick that will be around 20th overall is no big deal.

Nolan is a proven tough power forward that can score. He provides leadership and grit and this trade will rejuvenate his career plus the leafs need to do something now and not in 10 years. Fans are tired of waiting and they want to see the Leafs try and pull it off. This trade is great for the now because they dont give up much off their roster and add a great player. SUre in the future it could come back to haunt them but thats not known, the Leafs are concerned about now... and right now they just improved the team that will be going into the playoffs.

They still need help on Defense though.

GO LEAFS GO!!!

I'm all for the trade. Nolan will add more grit to an already grimey leafs offence. With Nolan playing w/ Roberts, Renberg, Corson, Tucker, and Green in the playoffs, the eastern conference better watch out. I do think that we gave up alot though. I like McCauley, never mind that he isn't exactly a premiere center. He is a playoff performer and a stand up guy. I think I'm just bummed about it cause he is a nice guy. Do I think the leafs will win the cup, Probably not. We still need defence. Still can't believe we gave up Yuskie!!! And as far as Ottawa and Vancouver are concerned. Enjoy the regular season, come playoffs you'll do what you do best.....get rocked!!! These are two teams running on all cylinders with no more gears to shift. So the Sens got Varada, hey Varada...how did you like your first taste of the "Battle of Ontario"? Oh yeah, that's right, you got injured. And Chara, 6ft9 of absolutely NOTHING. Belak has your number chump. Now the Canucks, Do you really think your gonna get past Dallas, Detroit and COLORADO?!?!?!? Maybe next year. You can't depend on Naslund, Bertuzzi, and Morrison like you have all year. GO LEAF GO!!!!
