R2 FRESH IN CAR ACCIDENT!
ok its not to serious but my sister got into a fender bender, not her fault and hopefully the guy gives her cash or if they have to they go through insurance - heres the story :
my sister was making a right hand turn she came to a stop at the red light and then preceeded to turn and after she turned a guy came flying at her but he was goin too fast and tried to steer around her, but he didnt have room or time and scratched the side of the bumper and cracked it and the tail light is cracked too,
here is the situation guy is assumin he is not at fault and does not feel he should pay
but here is how i will nab the guy he was driving with out his insurance on him
so looks like he can be in a lot of trouble and i will have a new bback bumper and tail light
but wait, how am i supposed to find a new back bumper or single tail light? ne ideas, so this is where i come on to say that i am looking for a back bumper, stock , preferabbly aftermarket to purchase and also for back tail light, 1 only but i will pay for two euros if sold at a good price
i hope some one can help me like they always have
GUS
but i am open to any suggestions
thanks

Cost aside, were you planning to upgrade to aftermarket bumper prior to the accident? If so, you know the answer... OEM bumper though, is nice, for resale value point of view, and what not. Think safety, and so on (those aftermarket ones don't meet crash standards).
As for tails, Altezzas are a pretty easy and cost effective solution.
Watch out for painting though............. that is the most ****ed up part. Espeically if you have satin silver.. you need to goto a ***VERY*** reputable shop... most places can't match it. Even dealerships themselves (who usually send out their work anyway).

Yah, he's supposed to have his insurance on him...BUT...
I think from what you said, your sister might be in the wrong here. If she was making a right hand turn, and he clipped her rear end, sounds like she cut him off. Doesn't matter if she was fully stopped, he has the right of way as he had a green light - even if he was speeding.
I don't know man, maybe its just the visual I'm getting from what you said.
Either way, glad nobody got hurt.

ok he does not wanna go to the station for police report so its obvious somehting is up he has agreed to pay as long as i get prices, i need prices now on either stock or aftermarket bumpers, and prices for stock or altezzas tail lights, spit some numbers b/c he is giving cash
Since the guy hit her at her back that means she had straighten her steering wheel by the time the guy hit her ...which in this case ... she's NOT at fault for sure ...
if she got hit while she's turning out that's another story ...

not having your insurance paper on you is a lot different than not having any insurance.... Id rather get the ticket from the cops than pay out a bunch of money to fix someones car if it wasn't my fault. If he doesn't want to report it there must be something fishy.
I'd suggest if you are in a hurry call a Honda dealer for prices

correct
as long as u ram some one from behind its your fault. regardless, of the situation
cuz the cops will just charge the other guy with driving tooo CLOSELY!
even if u slam the break and if they hit u cuz u slammed it its still their fault.

- noticed he said side of the bumper, which means she was probably pulling out into the turn. I would think if she pulled out a second or two later definetely the back of the bumper would have been damaged.
EDIT: arguing is pointless without pics

getting clearer now?
Okay, nail his *** then!! He was speeding like a mofu. Sorry, it the way worded the situation sounded like your sis cut him off.
For the price of the stock bumber, get an aftermarket one.

R2Refresh...
Your sister is at fault. She would have to prove that she actually made the stop (witnesses).
right now, you guys gave him a break. He can just say he's not paying. you will have to go through his insurance company. Without an insurance #. All he has to do right now is change his insurance company and you guys will take a good 6 months - 1 year to get the money.
It's a real hastle. exact same thing happened to my cousin.
HOpe the guy's not an a$$.

I'm glad you got the money already because technically, your sister would've been at fault if he went to the cops. Since the guy is going straight and your sister was the one entering the lane, she would've been at fault. My friends got into a similar accident but it was worse. They made a right and was already about 10-15 feet away from the turn and the guy rammed them from behind. It was still their fault because they were the one who entered the guy's right of way. But anyway that's done with... I suggest you get an after market bumper since you got cash for it and plus you gotta replace it anyway. IF you do decide to take the OEM way, I am selling my rear bumper..
FYI!
