Speeding Ticket

Hey guys, my court date for a speeding ticket is this coming friday. The fine is $111.25 and it's 2 pts.. I think I was like 20 over... I usually hire a ticket fighter but this time the ticket is so minor, is it worth to try it out myself? The thing is, i can't afford to have another ticket or else, my insurance will be even higher... I pay $8500 a yr for my si.... Advice anybody? If i do go to court myself, what should I say? Anybody had past experience ? Thanks!

Exceeding speed limit by 16 to 29 km/h is still 3 points but with ur insurance that high I think u should hire someone and fight it.

I just had a court date this past week for a speeding ticket (24 over - 3 demerit points) and I hired a ticket fighter and they won!
So i'd get a ticket fighter, its better than paying more on insurance every year (if you loose) and your driving record will be cleaner
as well (if they win)

no doubt try and fight it urself!!!...... those ticket fighters r scammers...

try going to the court wid a friend...... if u see the cop there...... u leave the court and tell ur friend to go into the courtroom and say "YOU ARE SICK"...... then the person will postpone the court date to a later date......

this way if u postpone it... there's another chance that the cop will not show up...... try this..... i did.... it worked....

i dont think so. depends on the insurance company if they decide to check up on u they might or might not
but from what i heard. insurance only goes up when u get points deducted.
so from it stands right now. i dont think it will go up if u dont get points taken off

i dont think it's going to work. because i heard they changed tjhe policies and all the officers have to show up now not only they get paid extra for showing up but secondly too many ppl got away for any fine and the government needs more money. i heard this from my dad cuz his friend is a cop in peel region and told him that.

Even with no points, ur insurance will still go up! Every conviction means an 25% increase! I guess i will hire my ticket fighter

so since u are saying that no point will still increase the premium then i would suggest you just go fight it yourself.
if u fight it off you save the money for the ticket fighter and you dont have to lose any point but your insurance will goes up

if u lose the case, u pay the fine, lose 2 points and the insurance still goes up

I'm actually not in the regular market now... They won;t insure me. I'm currently in FACILITIES. In other words, it's the company that will only insure people that regular market insurance company will insure. I got 4 tickets and 2 at fault...
