Question-First Time Service
Hey, anyone here do their own servicing? I am a pretty handy guy and I did my first oil change on my baby tonight! 7815 km! I was curious though....this is my first new car and when I popped the drain plug tonight I noticed what appeared to be some glue or a thread locker on the bolt. I figure this may be from the factory to ensure the bolts dont come out. What I didnt see was a thrust washer anywhere on the bolt. Normally you would replace them each other change but I couldnt even find one. it wasnt locked to the pan, or the bolt. Anyone else find this?
Also WTF is with the oil filter. I have never ever seen one as tight as the one on my car. It must be a factory thing again cause I have never seen one like this. Normally you spin it one full turn after the gasket touched but they must have cranked it 1 and half!

sorry don't know the answer to those questions! but normally when i do oil changes on US car in auto class, the filter are the hardest to find and and in a awkward position that u can't use ur power, ****in hate doin it! i have some really bad experiences with oil changes, like when the drain plug finally lossen and shoot oil all over my face ! one van i did was totally ****ed! i reach up with my hand and accidently hit some thing and sparks fly at me and scare the s**t outta me
WTF! also started a car while it was on a safty stand, then notice the wheels starts spinnin lucky the car was FWD
