6th Gen SiRs were great. It was pretty good value, and at the time, it was the quickest in its class. And it was universally considered as a good look car.
7th Gen SiRs, on the other hand, are total crap. It's the SLOWEST in its class (compared to SVT Focus, Matrix XRS & Sentra SE-R SpecV), yet it COSTS THE MOST. Extremely poor value. A faster Sentra SE-R SpecV, with 17's, 300W Stereo, Limited Slip, 6-speed, full body kit, costs $3000 less!! Why the HELL would you get an SiR for? Not only that, a lot of people think it looks damn ugly. Myself included.
There is a reason why the SiRs are not selling anymore. A very good reason.

I like the sentra spec-v. But I don't wanna go through all the hassle to sell my car, pay the balance of my finance, get another loan and get a new car when i can just go to honda, trade in the car and transfer the finance to the new car.
No matter how bad the new SiR is....It's still has more potential than a regular 7th gen civic.

If you're willing to spend that much money, I'd scrape up just a bit more and get an RSX premium of even better, the RSX Type S.

I love the SiR's unfortunately the stealership wants too much to swap. I am not going to take that big a loss just to get that car. The interior is beautiful and I love the seats. Its fun to drive and the shifter is cool.
If I could sell my car for a good penny than I would consider getting one but its not the worth the loss I was looking at in my situation.
I would rather spend a little more on my civic and make it look amazing bodykit.
Ive got a Yamaha R6 sportbike for performance.

How much were they asking you for trade up? are you financing or leasing your ride? I think what drew me to the SiR is the interior too. haha.[hr]

The price of $21500 is a great deal but only $14000 trade in is a rip!
I am financing my car through CIBC right now but I think I will just ride it out now and buy something new in a couple of years... who knows.

They only wanted to give me a trade in value of $14000 and then charge me $21500 for the car.

holy crap! that's sooooo niiiice!
i don't really see many 7thgen SiR's here in the GTA... only seen 3! two white ones and a black one...
sat in one in the dealership, and maaaaan gotta love the seats! keeps my butt right in position...
hmmmmm thinking about the Spec-V, i don't really like the styling (i even prefer the SiR's styling), but gotta love what you get for the price!
drove one and shat in my shorts red-lining in 2nd gear!

close the door. sounds cheap.....

... too much yellow and black!the only good thing from checking the spec V was the fact that nissan /infinity had a 350Z in the show room. NOW that is a better option than that of a spec - V!!!
