If you see black **** on your rims, it's the CV boot ripped. That's what happened to me a few months ago. Action Honda was nice and looked away that one time even though my car was lowered (on Sportline w/Koni) and fixed it under warranty ($400 job).

It must be the stress taken by the suspension on a lowered car... I don't remember since when it happened, but maybe 2 months or so before I went back for that I noticed black ick on my left front rim and didn't think much of it.

It could also be your springs. When I had knocking sounds like that Hi Tech put rubber tubing along the top and bottom (custom mount) as suggested by Eibach (when they called Eibach for help) and most of those noises went away (until my CV joint problem).

aint got no black **** on my rims so it aint the cv joint, could be the springs but it sounds more centralized. like its comin from the center of the engine bay. its not like i hear it on one side and then the other. i think i do have a pop from my shocks though when im stationary and crank the wheels, but thats dif from this pop. hopefuly honda can give me some insight, and help

Do you notice you're braking when this happens? I have the same problem when I brake--pop, click, but Honda says nothing wrong with my brakes.

Not to mention 2 accidents, both T-bones, and pebbles falling onto my hood from Go Train bridge, and crack on my windshield driving 60km down Markham road, and scratches and dings and such.

I'm jinxed.

But not as bad as your situation... Have you found a motor yet?
