hehe.. i did exactly the same thing!!!!

well.. not exactly... i left the old HU intact (and did some wiring to make it functional)

but the cover for the little drawer thing for cds such that when the face of my aftermarket HU is off the cover can go over... and the entire thing looks like it did as stock (even the little blinking antitheft light on the stock HU)

damn.. wish i had some pics
