hit and run what should i do???
when i stopped at the red right with my friend's car stoped besides me, someone tries to go thorugh between me and my friends and broke the side mirror...
then he went through red right. i followed him but lost him.
it was dark and rainly so i couldn't see the licence plate number.
what should i do???
since my car is in the bodyshop and i am driving a rental car right now.
i have no clue what i should do...
should i call the police first and contact the rental place later???
i was coming from utm and i am pretty sure that the guy hit my car is from utm.
it was a black sunfire with dual muffler...
does anyone know this car???
and if i have to contact police what is the number that i should call????

1. Call the local police station where the accident happened. Report the incident.
2. Call the rental company. Leave them a message to call you back.
3. If the rental car is under your policy, call your insurance and report it there too.
but do it now... the longer you wait, the worse it is...

Rep Power: 0 you know if you just dial 911, then there is a recorded message and it asks you what you need, you can press the option that you're looking for like to report an accident.

if you go utm from square one.. thgouth burnhamthorpe
you have to cross the bridge right??
it is like from burnhamthorpe to utm.. there is a big tim horton before the bridge..

a block after erin mills...
from tomorrow.. i have to look for the whole parking lot for the black sunfire with scratch on right side mirror.

i just called local police station... and i have to bring the car in tomorrow at 9am tomorrow in the morning..
the one on hurontario and dundas..
i guess i might have to pay.. for that..

Rep Power: 0 even if i do it by insurance, i have to pay deductibles of $300. i pay upto $300 demage..
and i guess it is considered as Vandalism of vehicle..
no point of going by insurance..
anyways, does anyone know how much it is to replace side mirror??

Rep Power: 0 you should definately find out prices before you do anything. but either way you have to file a police report. just hold off on making a claim through insurance till you have all info you need to make a decision.

Rep Power: 0 thats a different story...i didnt know you were talking about a rental car. but you do have to report it to the police. you didnt buy insurance on the rental car? 
if not, i think you have to pay the repair costs.
